Letter Of Resignation

Resignation letters are professional courtesies that individuals extend to their soon to be former employers. Whatever the reason for leaving a job, it is always a good idea to tender a letter of resignation before putting in notice.

Resignation letters are not expected to be lengthy, but the document should include a reason for leaving a position and share an exit plan which includes the length of time expected to remain at the job. It is wise to be careful with wording and leave emotional responses out of the letter.
